Donald Trump waves at protesters as he tees off at Turnberry

Activists outside the Trump Turnberry resort staged the first protest against the president’s visit

In this Friday, July 13, 2018 photo, a Greenpeace protester flying a microlight passes over US President's Donald Trump's resort in Turnberry, South Ayrshire, Scotland with a banner reading "Trump: Well Below Par", shortly after the US President arrived at the hotel.

The Associated Press reported that an estimated 10,000 people on Saturday marched in protest through the Scottish capital of Edinburgh.

After Donald Trump met Queen Elizabeth II in England on Friday, the official White House Twitter account let followers know the president was "departing the UK".

Trump and his wife, Melania, were spending the weekend out of the spotlight at his Turnberry resort, ahead of his high-stakes summit on Monday with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Helsinki, Finland.

Trump, who had plenty of bodyguards on hand, appeared to taunt protesters by waving and smiling at them before continuing with his game.

Speaking to journalists today after playing golf at the Trump International Golf Links in Balmedie, Mr Trump Jnr said the "foolish proposal was now irrelevant".

"Donald Trump is a big, angry baby with a fragile ego and tiny hands", the group's crowdfunding page said.

Perhaps the best part of this form of protest is the fact that Trump was standing outside when the paraglider flew over, so there's absolutely no chance he missed the message.

A Greenpeace spokesman said: "Trump calls climate change a "con job" and a "myth".

Trump apologised to May for the furore over his withering public critique, blaming "fake news" and promising instead a bilateral trade agreement with Britain after it leaves the European Union in March.

Further protests are to be staged against Donald Trump as his United Kingdom visit turns from talks with Theresa May and the Queen to golf at his Turnberry resort. On Friday, protesters flew a blimp depicting the USA president as an orange, snarling baby just outside the British parliament.

Trump's decision to stay yet again at a property he owns - and has repeatedly advertised during the drip - caught the attention of ethics experts, who say Trump should not profit off the presidency.

As Trump tweeted and swung his clubs in Turnberry, demonstrators were also making their voices heard in Edinburgh, the Scottish capital. "I don't think you'll have any 'Gee, I did it". Some signs of their said "We Shall Over Comb" and "Dump Trump".

But for many British diplomats, Brexit marks the collapse of a 70-year strategy of trying to balance European integration with a US alliance based on blood, trade and intelligence sharing. It was Mr. Trump's first personal response to indictments announced Friday in Washington against the 12 Russian military intelligence officers who allegedly hacked into the presidential campaign of Hillary Clinton, Trump's Democratic rival, and the Democratic Party, and released tens of thousands of emails in a sweeping Kremlin conspiracy to help Mr. Trump win the 2016 election.
