Jake Tapper cuts off Duke alum Stephen Miller in interview

White House policy adviser and Trump loyalist Stephen Miller tried to finish his combative conversation with CNN's Jake Tapper after the cameras stopped rolling on Sunday but the anchor wanted no part of it, according to a CNN source. It got so bad that Miller was cut off by Tapper and asked to leave, and when he continued to refuse to leave, he was escorted off the set by security.

Trump responded with a tweet: "Jake Tapper of Fake News CNN just got destroyed in his interview with Stephen Miller of the Trump Administration".

Tapper eventually cut off the Trump advisor's microphone, telling him that he'd "wasted" enough of his viewers time.

But while he was able to leave the nation's capital, he could not avoid the furore sparked by the publication of a new book, Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House, by veteran NY journalist Michael Wolff.

"You're not answering the questions.there's one viewer that you care about right now". Bannon was chief executive of Trump's campaign and chief strategist at the White House, before he left August 18, 2017. On Twitter, Trump insisted that he was a "very stable genius" in defense of some critics speculating about his mental health.

Miller initially brought up Trump's statement on Bannon's quotes in the book, in which he said that "Steve Bannon has nothing to do with me or my Presidency".

The Senate, House of Representatives and a special counsel are all investigating alleged Russian interference in the presidential election, allegations denied by both the Kremlin and Donald Trump. Let me tell you something. Miller agreed with Trump's description of himself, adding that Trump is a "self-made billionaire who revolutionized reality TV and who has changed the course of..."

In the tense CNN exchange, Miller returned fire by defending his boss who may have been watching the argument unfold.

Miller twice called Trump a "political genius" who "took down the entire media complex with its 90% negative coverage" before laying into CNN for its "salacious", "fraudulent", and "anti-Trump, hysterical coverage" of the president.

Miller asked Tapper, "Why don't you just give me three minutes to tell you the truth about the Donald Trump that I know and that all of our campaign staff knows?"

Nikki Haley, the US ambassador to the United Nations, said she visits the White House once a week, and "no one questions the stability of the president".

"I would have been delighted to have written a contrarian account here", he said.
