'Ten dead' in Iran as anti-government protests continue
Mehr, which Al Jazeera described as a "semi-official Iranian news agency", reported that a government official said 80 people were detained in Arak on Saturday.
The state TV report made the reference in a package on the ongoing demonstrations that began on Thursday.
In 2009, Iran saw eight months of civil unrest when tens of thousands of people took to the streets to protest Iran's disputed 2009 presidential election.
More than 400 people have been arrested across the country.

Mehr also reported that two protesters died in Dorud on Saturday.
The report gave no further information on the location or causes of deaths.
Demonstrations were also reported in a number of other cities on Sunday night, including the capital Tehran. Correspondents say it would be a significant escalation were they to become officially involved in policing the protests.
In Iran, antigovernment protests are in their fourth day, and the powerful Revolutionary Guard is warning demonstrators will pay the price.

Iranian officials maintain that people have the right to stage protests to express their opinions, as long as the rallies comply with the legal conditions.
