Iran Accuses Saudi Arabia of Pushing for War

Saudi Arabia Over Iran Threat

AFP reports that Saudi Arabia requested for Arab League foreign ministers' meeting to discuss "the violations committed by Iran in the Arab region, which undermines security and peace ... around the globe". "Any leniency in dealing with their policies would only encourage them more, so we must stand together", the Saudi Foreign Minister added.

The Arab foreign ministers' final statement referred to Hezbollah as a "terrorist organization", a branding that drew reservations from Lebanon, according to the head of the Arab League, Ahmed Abul Gheit.

Allies of Hizbollah, the Iran-backed militant group, which has members in Lebanon's government, appeared to defend the organisation after it was roundly condemned at an Arab League meeting on Monday.

In what is perhaps the only concrete measure, the ministers said Arab telecommunications satellites would ban Iranian-financed television stations for what they said was their fomenting of sectarian and ethnic tensions and because they posed a threat to Arab security.

Iran "supplied the Houthi militias with all types of weapons ... which enabled them to overrun the country's capital and on their way detonate residences, schools, places of worship and public and private facilities", Abdul-Malik Al-Mekhlafi said.

According to the members of the panel, the tightening of Yemen's blockade by the Saudi-led coalition and the invocation by Saudi Arabia of paragraph 14 of resolution 2216, which allows United Nations member states to take measures to prevent the transfer of military goods to Houthis, is allegedly an attempt to impede the delivery of humanitarian aid to Yemeni civilians. It is widely believed that Iran is backing the Houthi rebels.

Recently BBC has carried an investigation on how U.S. and its allies shifted Daesh terrorists from Raqqa, Syria and the way they didn't allow Russian Federation to bomb the fleeing terrorists from Raqqa.
