IRGC Commander: Iran not to negotiate with U.S. on regional issues

He declined to elaborate on the details of Iran's response, and said, "God willing, you will come to see (Iran's reaction)".

Jafari's warning came two days after White House Press Secretary Huckabee Sanders said Trump will announce new USA responses to Iran's missile tests, alleged support for terrorism and cyber operations as part of his new broader Iran strategy.

Speaking at the Revolutionary Guards Corps' strategic meeting in Tehran on Sunday, Commander Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari said the USA regional military bases would be at risk if further sanctions are passed.

Maj. Gen. Mohammad Ali Jafari, commander of the IRGC, warned that if the "stupid USA administration" declares the IRGC to be a terror group, Iran will treat the U.S. Army like the Islamic State, reports Fars News, semi-official media organ of the Iranian regime.

A top military commander said Iran would never be compelled by the USA sanctions to relinquish its regional role and they will only strengthen its resolve to push ahead with its regional operations and defensive missile program.

"In the nuclear negotiations and agreement we reached issues and benefits that are not reversible".

"America's conduct proved that we can not develop our foreign relations by exclusively relying on JCPOA", Jafari said, using an abbreviation that stands for the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, the official name of the accord. "An experience that showed that the United States makes use of talks as a means of pressure and hostility rather than interaction or problem solving".

Washington should know that Iran will use the opportunity provided by (US Presdient) Donald Trump Administration's lunatic conduct of the JCPOA to boost its missile program as well as it regional and conventional defense plans, Jaafari said.
