Jaitley fails to recall real martyrs, says MB Rajesh in open letter

Don't' try to scare us with the threat of 'dismissal': Kodiyeri

Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley today held the CPI-M-led Left Front government of Kerala responsible for unleashing attacks on BJP-RSS workers. Speaking at the meeting, Jaitley condemned the incident and said that there were 70 to 80 wounds on the RSS worker's body, adding that even enemies are not such barbaric. "At the end of the day, it's the responsibility of the state to ensure that the perpetrators of these crimes are brought to book", Jaitley said.

Jaitley, who drove from the airport to Rajesh's home, met his wife, two children and other family members.

On 12 May 2017, RSS worker Biju was murdered by alleged CPM activists in Payyanur, prompting the BJP to demand the imposition of the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act in Kannur district. "We need political will and determination by the state government to discipline its own cadre rather let them loose on the political opponents", he said. "The BJP workers of Kerala are not alone, the whole nation is with you", Jaitley said after meeting Rajesh's family members. I assure our karyakartas and victims that the party will stand strongly behind them. He also questioned the "complete silence" on the "continuing saga of violence in Kerala" of those who otherwise speak against any similar incidents elsewhere in the country.

The Union Minister made this observation after paying a visit to the house of an RSS karyavah killed in Thiruvananthapuram in the latest incidence of violence. In the meeting, the leaders spoke about RSS deceased activist Rajesh, attacks on BJP offices in Kerala and attack on CPI (M) leaders.

Jaitley will also meet RSS leader Jayprakash, who was brutally injured in a CPM attack, some eight months back. Even the RSS threat to force the centre to dismiss the LDF government has evoked only ridicule from various corners. The BJP state leadership will also discuss the medical college scam and the violence in the state with Mr Bhagawat, it is learnt.

Rajnath Singh then spoken to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and voiced concern over attacks on political workers in Kerala and said political violence was unacceptable in a democracy.
